A Sonnet
Not breach the fragile peace of the sleeping men,
Acknowledge no light for the price of their eyes away;
Let life tiptoe past, should pass back
Shuttered, shade fastness of their lives.
They shun the sun and wake up in the dark
Where freedom's voice echoed as doth expire,
The truth for the disappearance of her talk merest spark
Lest keep lights and night light with fire.
Fling wide the door, but you do not be surprised
If they should stumble, or struggling to keep their cage,
For sure it looks normal and within
They prison walls and peaceful as the grave.
But rust and cages walls decay
And end worms' tis have their way
Sonnet Two
Tis not death, life, this is just a passing thing,
A change of clothing just for new venues,
And we bring the cast extemporising
Fresh-garbed himself on the stage of dreams.
As often seems to have lost the plot twixt scene,
Somehow forgotten acts that came before,
'Pon some curtain of night is falling
And tangled in her lyrics will not set more.
And each time we swear we take stage
In my never-worn throw these boards have been better now
And our parts we are oh so aware
They are small and thus our somewhat unique.
But, oh shock, there is time - in If we but knew -
its pages scattered with rage - and grave - reviews.
Sonnet Three
Now for our flock of past banners lost friends
Who got the devil fell into a time past,
Rusted new shield polished and embossed
With remember the immortal half old mark.
Our sharp call your sleep dead carcass,
Immortal spark of fire, where the cold;
Return again because we keep
Some promise kiss of death can not quite dominate.
Responding to keep you alive th'intent
Forced to leave the rest of us in awe,
And kindness to all dissent survived,
The deceased informed life will grow once more.
And your legend ever will towards the end
You are the man with whom one can always count on his friend.
