With a little paint, a brush, sponge and a little patience, you can turn cheap plastic containers, garden planters in a decorator who appear as the expensive designer versions. In fact, these pots will look so well, visitors will not be able to distinguish.
"Just Lead Like "Finish
1st Take a square pot and clean the plastic with soap and water. Allow to dry and buff.
2nd Spray Exterior white spray a combination of plastic base. Drain before.
3rd Outdoor use acrylic paint on wrought iron shade of paint and the inside of the lip of the planter. DAB or stipple paint with a round brush to avoid brush strokes. After drying apply a second coat.
4th In a separate covered container, mix glaze paints using the following: 2 teaspoons of blue, Sandy Brown 4 teaspoon, 1 / 2 teaspoon of concrete gray, black, and 1-2 drops. Thin to 6 tablespoons water, cover and shake to mix. Do not worry about exactly the same amounts.
5th Apply the glaze well wrung out sponge (still slightly damp). Large piece of sea sponge works really well, and dab glaze to cover one part of the grower.
6th When the first page is covered, take a dry rag and wipe evenly grower. It should be scuffed metal look at it. Repeat this process until the end of the page and inner lips. Ensure the connection edge so there is no definite. Give the pot 2nd coat if you think needs it.
7th Spray two or three layers of protective clear waterproof spray New metal finish.
"Just Like Copper" Verdigris Finish
1st Start with a terracotta planter, preferably with some raised design or slots. Wipe to remove any excess dirt, and leave to dry over night, if clean water.
2nd Paint entire planter - inside and out - with Fern green color on the outside with acrylic paint. Allow to dry, then add a second layer, to completely cover and get into little nooks and crannies.
3rd Mix glaze in a container with tight fitting lids. It should include the following: 3 teaspoons DecoArt Patio Paint in Bahama Blue and 3 teaspoons of water. Cover and shake until mixed. Pour into a larger container or plate, which can be a sponge.
4th Using a slightly damp sponge or brush, apply the glaze planter one size.
5th Wipe the excess glaze by dabbing and rubbing with a soft cloth. Repeat on all sides.
6th Get a small amount of paint color and apply the shiny copper sparingly to the edges or along the raised patterns and curves. Wipe with a clean cloth.
7th Spray with several layers of protective clear finish.
"Just Like Limestone" Finish
1st This is a technique that works perfectly with concrete pineapple or other similar items inside outside. Use the stiff brush and very clean items will be doing. If you wash with water, allow to dry night.
2nd Get a paper plate and without stirring, pour small portions out of the door the following paints: pale yellow, Sandy Brown, concrete gray and white.
3rd Using a large round brush or a clean makeup brush, stipple paint, trying to get in the cracks and crevices. Select different colors as you go, just as in the shaded area of limestone.
4th Cool and break a sea sponge and blend the colors by blotting gently. Continue with a layer of paint to get more change and is always mixing and drying, to obtain a smooth appearance. Finally, select some accents and add them to the layer.
5th Once dry, spray with several layers of clear protective finish.
